Addendum:  I tried stormfront.org just now to see if I could log out. Lo and behold, the main page came up and I logged out. Above the "All cookies cleared" page was this notice:

As a registered member, you are currently bypassing the server busy message!

It gets weirder by the moment.

I also accessed the front page and logged in and went to the Lounge but when I clicked on the Chat Thread I got Database Error again.  I was so happy that the site was up again I was going to post a "HURRAY!" in Cool Water's Chat Thread.

Uncle Teddy chiming in. Several years ago I posted a question on SF asking if there were any provisions in place to keep the forum active just in case Don decided to retire from the everyday headaches of maintaining it. I was jumped on by a Lifetime member and accused of being a 'troll' trying to access Top Secret information. I'm guessing there is/was no contingency plan in place for someone else to keep SF alive and well.

Update 9:20 am EST.  Accessing  either stormfront.org or stormfront.org/forum brings up  the database error immediately.

Makes one wonder what that brief reversion yesterday to a semi-functional state was all about. Actually it's happened at least a couple times in the past three weeks.

Is it Don trying to fix the problem or just some random fluctuation?

I hope Merlin will have some news for us soon.  I realize he's tied up with work, but how long does it take to send a brief text?

Good question. I was able to access several pages last night. That's invaluable, because I've been cross-checking e-mail addresses and IP addresses to make sure those who register here are the Stormfronters they present themselves as.

I hope Merlin will have some news for us soon.  I realize he's tied up with work, but how long does it take to send a brief text?

I did hear from him; he's had no luck contacting Don. I've invited him to this forum.

Yes, as are others. In your case, I found it satisfactory that your SF account was logged in at the same time as you registered here.

Well... ...  That kinda throws cold water on everything Ruthless told Elizabeth, doesn't it?  So now we're back to worrying about Don and Chloe.  Unless Ruthless has a better source than Merlin, which I find very odd if true.
